  1. I watched this movie some years ago, and I liked it. The Greek scenery was quite beautiful, but one thing that I really didn’t like was Pierce Brosnan singing. I never saw it in the theater.

  2. ABBA is so popular in Japan. Why? Is ABBA also particularly popular in South Korea? How about in Switzerland or Brazil? When I lived in Japan, I often taught English classes on an island in the Sea of Japan, and the captain of the boat that took me to the island was always playing ABBA on the boat CD player. ABBA always reminds me of the Sea of Japan. It’s good memories.

In America, ABBA is not popular anymore, right? ABBA makes americans think about the 1970s – I feel that only old people listen to ABBA in the US. Am I wrong? Americans listen to ABBA for nostalgia.

    nostalgia |nəˈstøldʒ(i)ə| |nɔsˈtøldʒ(i)ə|
    noun
a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations : I was overcome with acute nostalgia for my days in college.

I didn’t think Meryl Streep was a great singer either; but, she’s such a great actress.

    • Yea ABBA is kind of popular in Switzerland, but more for the older generation. But my music teacher was really in to these kind of music so we learned a few songs.
In my opinion, I think we should learn or at least know the songs from ABBA its kind of culture.

    • I think Abba is a has-been singer in Korea. I think most Koreans know their music more then them? Anyway, their music is very popular for older generation than mine. Also, I think it is very good to see beautiful Greece!
